Mesereau Free Legal Clinic
Tom Mesereau founded and helps to operate a free legal clinic, the Mesereau Free Legal Clinic, for the poor in south central Los Angeles. The clinic is located at Morningside United Church of Christ: 8722 Crenshaw Blvd. (Manchester & Crenshaw) Inglewood, CA 90305. Judges, lawyers, law students, college students and community activists donate their time with Mr. Mesereau to advise and assist the poor and needy. The Litigation Counsel of America
The Litigation Counsel of America is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society established to reflect the new face of the American bar. Membership is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. The composition of the LCA is aggressively diverse, with recognition of excellence among American litigation and trial counsel across all segments of the bar.
American Inns of Court
American Inns of Court (AIC) are designed to improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and bar. An American Inn of Court is an amalgam of judges, lawyers, and in some cases, law professors and law students. Each Inn meets approximately once a month both to “break bread” and to hold programs and discussions on matters of ethics, skills and professionalism.
